SNO-BLOCKS

The Sno-Block machine produces block ice in the exact dimensions required for use in the New Orleans style shavers and it does so at a cost of around 1 penny a pound. The ice produced is excellent for Snow-Balls, softer than commercial ice and extends the life of your shaver blades between sharpening.

At the beginning and end of the Snow-Ball season, when full harvest of ice is not needed, you may take from the machine only the ice you need. The remaining ice will be stored at the proper temperature. The thermostat will regulate the compressor and your electric bill will be reduced accordingly.

The Sno-Block cabinet is constructed of durable gel-coated fiberglass with foamed-in-place insulation. The warranty covers one year on all parts and the compressor. The 304 stainless steel sanitary ice cans measure approximately 5.5" x 5.5" x 16" and each block of ice they produce weighs between 12 and 14 pounds. Plastic polyurethane cans are also available.

41” high x 42 3/8” long x 27.5” wide, refrigeration unit can be top mounted to save even more space. Uses 15 gallons of propylene glycol and makes 9 blocks of ice twice a day, that’s approximately 220 lbs of ice. Comes ready to plug in and run. Shipping weight is 415 lbs crated.

Like the 220-SB, this machine comes ready to plug in and run, makes 20 blocks of ice twice a day, that’s approximately 480 lbs of ice.  Dimensions are 41” High x 72.5” long. Uses 30 gallons of glycol. Shipping weight is 715 lbs with crating.

The best machine for the medium sized market is the 404-1200-SB. It generates 40 blocks of ice every 12 hours (approximately 1000 lbs of ice a day). All Sno-Block® cabinets are made of durable gel coated fiberglass and are insulated against the input of heat. Dimensions are: 41” high x 72 ½” long. It is shipped ready to plug in and run with 40 gallons of glycol. The shipping weight is 1015 lbs with glycol. The 404-1200-SB has a 2hp compressor and the 404-1200-SB has a 2.5hp compressor, thus harvesting ice every 10 hrs.

This is the real work-horse of the industry. The 1500-SB Sno-Block® produces approximately 1500lbs of ice per 24 hour period utilizing the 40 ice cans included.  Shipped with both refrigeration units separate, some installation by a refrigeration technician will be needed. Otherwise, the machine arrives ready to go. The machine uses 40 gallons of glycol and with the exception of the two remotes refrigeration units has the same height of 41” and cabinet length of 49.5”. The refrigeration units are 19 ½” x 36” x 18 ½” each. Shipping weight crated with glycol 1165 lbs.

SPINNER-BLOCKS

The Spinner-Block was designed to make the 8lb-cyclinders of Ice for the Swann or Hatsuyuki Shavers. Each machine makes ice every approximately every 8 hours at 70 degrees, ambient temperature. We have 8-block, 14-block and 19-block models to fit every need. The cabinet is constructed of durable gel-coated fiberglass, which is the same material used to make boats. Each machine has a top-mounted T-Stat for better temperature control and uses Ozone friendly refrigerant. All machines have an electrical whip and door gasket installed.

Produces 8 cylinders of ice per harvest approximately every 8 hours - 24 blocks (192lbs) a day @ 70º air and 60º water temperature. Ice cylinder is 7” in diameter and 6” high. Each block weighs approximately 8 lbs. Comes complete and ready to plug in and run. Shipped with 20 gallons of propylene glycol. Unit dimensions:  54.5” wide x 35” high x 34” deep. Shipping weight is 435 lbs with machine and glycol.

Produces 14 cylinders of ice per harvest approximately every 8 hours, that’s 42 block (336lbs) a day @ 70º air and 60º water temperature. Ice cylinder is 7” in diameter and 6” high. Each block weighs 8lbs and that makes for 336 lbs of ice per day. Comes ready to plug in and run along with 35 gallons of glycol. Unit dimensions: 77.5” wide x 35” high x 34” deep. The machine and glycol is 695 lbs shipping weight.

Produces 19 cylinders of ice per harvest approximately every 10 hours @ 70º air and 60º water temperature. Ice cylinder is 7” in diameter and 6” high. Each block weighs 8lbs, that’s 365 lbs of ice per day. Shipped with 45 gallons of glycol and comes ready to plug in and run. Unit dimensions:  77.5” wide x 35” high x 42” deep. Machine weight and glycol shipping is 905 lbs.

Produces 19 cylinders of ice per harvest approximately every 7 hours @ 70º air and 60º water temperature. Ice cylinder is 7” in diameter and 6” high. Each block weighs approximately 8lbs. Machine comes with 2 refrigeration units and will require set up by a technician. It  is shipped with 45 gallons of glycol. Unit dimensions: 55” wide x 35” high x 42” deep. Each condenser unit is 20” in length. Machine shipping weight and glycol is 1050 lbs.

FAMILY SAUCE

Our ice block machines are engineered for performance, durability, and efficiency, offering a truly hassle-free solution for your ice needs. With smooth-sided ice cans that reduce wear on your snowball shaver, there's no melting, shipping loss, or need to cut blocks down to size. Say goodbye to ice deliveries and trips for pickup. Our machines let you make ice on-site with zero waste. The cabinets are constructed from gel-coated fiberglass for superior insulation, while the upgraded condensing unit covers feature slip-in rails for easy access. A top-mounted thermostat provides clear visual temperature control, and all units now use environmentally safe refrigerants for enhanced energy efficiency.

Every machine is built to last, using NSF-certified 304 stainless steel or high-durability polyethylene for canisters. Each unit includes key features like lid gaskets, insulated expansion and C.P.R. valves, sight glass, filter dryers, and electrical whips on both the agitator and condensing units. Safety and ease-of-use are top priorities with low-pressure switches, accessible service valves, and a system that's fully run-tested for a minimum of 24 hours before shipping to ensure flawless operation upon arrival.

Best of all, the entire unit is ready to plug in and operate, with only three moving parts for long-term reliability and minimal maintenance.
