THE HISTORY BEHIND OUR COMPANY
Larry Buras, innovator and manufacturer of the Sno-Block® machine had an ingenious idea when he had a customer come into his ice plant complaining he couldn’t get ice and equipment for his sno-ball stand. When he did manage to get the ice needed it came in cumbersome 300 pound blocks that melted before it could be chopped and used. So Larry thought why not make ice that fit into the standard ice shaving machine so people would no longer have to chop it and waste all that ice?
He designed the Sno-Block® machine in 1975 and went through several models and upgrades until he perfected the Sno-Block® machine to the fine unit it is today. The Sno-Block® machine freezes the ice from the bottom up giving the ice better texture which is so important to the shaving quality and achieving that soft, fluffy, snowy ice for your sno-balls. It doesn’t matter what size your business is, “Mom & Pop”, middle size or even big theme park, Delta’s Sno-Block® machine can mean greater profits to you.
The Sno-Block® Ice Machines were designed for the New Orleans style shavers with the square blocks of ice and the Spinner-Block® Ice Machines were designed for the Hatsuyuki®, Swan®, and the Fugimarca® Japanese style shavers, with the round cylinder ice; however, they can be used in other applications including fishing charter businesses or ice houses.
Delta has machines all over the world, including South America, Middle East regions of Africa, Europe and of course the United States. We ship worldwide and are familiar with the electrical requirements of most foreign countries.
